First Flight Test

We decided to buy a ready to assemble RC plane to conduct tests on and if possible to even use parts of it for the final design. The first flight test was conducted to get an idea about the speeds that we would be able to achieve.

We went out to a field in Tullinge for the flight. Unfortunately the weather was not entirely favorable and we broke the landing gear on a hard landing. Fortunately the damage was not drastic and we were able to perform repairs but the damage meant we couldn't fly anymore that day. Nevertheless we were excited about our first real flight test in this project and surely it was a learning experience.

We hope to have more tests in the future and our first objective with the flight tests will be to set up the auto-pilot. Here's a short video about our flight test
